EchoTools is an independent project by PiGON Evolutive AI, LLC. We keep this short and honest: here's exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We use what you share to run EchoTools, keep you posted about it, improve Milo and build our future tools, and we never sell your data to anyone.
We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers purely to run EchoTools — to host the site, store your information securely, power Milo's replies, and block bots. They act as our processors: they handle your information only on our instructions, only to provide these services, and never for their own purposes. Some may process data in the United States. We're happy to share the specific list on request — just email us.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
EchoVoice, EchoAvatar and EchoMemory run locally in your editor and include no telemetry or tracking. Anything you're working with leaves your machine only when you choose a service that needs it — for example EchoVoice's ElevenLabs voice with your own ElevenLabs API key (then the text of your AI partner's reply, never your own prompts, is sent to ElevenLabs to be spoken, under your own account and terms), or a hosted brain for Milo in EchoMemory. Every network action each extension can take is itemized in its DISCLOSURES.md.
Milo's office inside VS Code. When you open Tech Support from Milo's window, EchoAvatar shows this site's office and tells it which EchoTools versions you have, your editor and its version, your operating system, whether you use a light or dark theme, and the size of Milo's window and whether he's docked — so Milo can answer for your exact setup and lay the office out to fit. Nothing else: no file names, folder paths, code or user names. If you choose "remember me", EchoAvatar keeps your name and email in your editor's secure keychain and hands them only to echotools.dev, so you don't have to type them again; "Forget me in Milo's office" erases them there and in the office. Nothing is shared unless you open the office.
"Show Milo my log." If you click it in the office, Milo's window first shows you the last lines of the EchoVoice, EchoAvatar and EchoMemory logs, up to 200 lines each. We try to remove keys, tokens, email addresses, your user name and your home folder before you see them, but that check can miss things, so please read every line. A log can also contain your own words to Milo and his replies. Nothing leaves your machine unless you press Send. What you send is used only to answer you during that visit: it rides along with your questions and gets checked for secrets once more. Nothing from that conversation is stored: not the log, not Milo's answers about it, not your later questions in that visit, and it is never reused for anyone else. Forget me, or closing the office, drops it.
We use your browser's local storage to remember your name, email, and that you've visited, so Milo can greet you next time. That stays in your browser. No advertising or tracking cookies.
We keep your signup and conversations for as long as you're part of the code peeps — or until you ask us to delete them.
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the data we hold about you at any time. Just email milo@echotools.dev and we'll take care of it.
EchoTools isn't directed at children. If you're under 16, please don't use the site or send us personal information.
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
